2011 marks our 4th year in business and we're happy to say that despite the rough economy BOWWOWMEOW is still successfully doggie paddling along. We're making good progress, finding our way onto more store shelves and into more people's homes.
Does BOWWOWMEOW belong in Toy Stores, Pet Stores or Craft and Hobby Stores? Our answer to that
question is YES! BOWWOWMEOW fits into all of these sales channels. The kits sell well in toy stores
because kids love to make stuff and they love animals, especially their animals. However we also know that
lots of grownups buy the kits for themselves or to give as gifts. The line sells well in pet stores because the
products are about animals, and someone wouldn't be in a pet store if they didn't love animals. We are a
natural fit in craft stores as our products are basically craft kits for people who want to make something for
or about their pets.
We may be a bit tricky to classify. We're not exactly like the other toys, animal items or craft kits on the store
shelves… but different is good. It's our uniqueness that sets us apart. Our products are for anyone who wants
to express their creativity and is inspired by our furry and feathered friends.
BOWWOWMEOW is the creation of mother and son cofounders Evelyn and Mike Greenwald, who are
committed to building a kind and ethical company.
